# Arbiter vs Fishbox

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Fishbox at none against Arbiter's 4. Arbiter's advantage is ratings volume (16 vs 2) and iOS requirement (18.4 vs 26.5). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Arbiter sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Fishbox asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Arbiter against 5.0 for Fishbox. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Arbiter has 16 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Arbiter ships an update fortnightly, Fishbox every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
