# Nexus vs Jotted

The clearest difference is rating: Jotted at 3.1 against Nexus's 2.5. Nexus's advantage is ratings volume (90 vs 18). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nexus sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Jotted sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Jotted holds the better App Store score, 3.1 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nexus has 90 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of Nexus's written reviews are positive against 14% of Jotted's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Nexus ships an update fortnightly, Jotted every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
