# ECOX Network vs Strings Network

The clearest difference is ads: ECOX Network at none against Strings Network's shown. ECOX Network also leads on ratings volume (298 vs 10) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Strings Network's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 85%) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 8 days). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ECOX Network holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ECOX Network has 298 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of ECOX Network's written reviews are positive against 100% of Strings Network's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ECOX Network ships an update every 8 days, Strings Network every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
