# DrinkData vs Risly

The clearest difference is ads: DrinkData at none against Risly's shown. DrinkData also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). Risly's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 months). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DrinkData sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Risly sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DrinkData ships an update every 6 months, Risly every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
