# Sizely vs Photo Compressor

Sizely and Photo Compressor both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 56% of Photo Compressor's written reviews are positive against 0% of Sizely's. Photo Compressor also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sizely sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Photo Compressor sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sizely holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 30 and 20 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Sizely's written reviews are positive against 56% of Photo Compressor's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Sizely ships an update every 5 weeks, Photo Compressor every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
