# FlowFocus vs Tempus

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: FlowFocus at none against Tempus's 9. FlowFocus also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.2). Tempus's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 6 months) and review sentiment (76% vs 50%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tempus sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. FlowFocus asks for nothing beyond the download.

FlowFocus holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tempus has 61 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of FlowFocus's written reviews are positive against 76% of Tempus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FlowFocus ships an update every 6 months, Tempus every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
