Racine

Racine is a daily word game. A word is hidden. You know its first letter and its length, and the game has already played one word for you. From there, play any word you like: Racine tells you how close it is in meaning, on a scale of 0 to 100, and whether it descends from the same Latin or Greek root as the hidden word. The two readings disagree, and that's the game. A word can score 93 in meaning without lighting the root gauge. Another, at 20, lights it and tells you which family you're hunting in. From then on you're no longer looking for "something that means roughly this" but for "the member of the MANUS family that means this". When you find the word, or when you give up, Racine tells you where it came from. Mansuetude comes from mansuetus, tamed: the gentleness of an animal that accepts the hand. One word a day, in English or in French Two readings for every guess: closeness in meaning and kinship of root False friends set as traps: manquer looks like MANUS, but comes from mancus, maimed An etymology card at the end of every round, whether you found the word or not Themed series: six words from one field of meaning, six ancestors with nothing in common Archives, to replay the words of past days Optional hints (a letter, the root, a neighbouring word), paid in tokens; one token is free every day, and what you spend shows in your score A result to share that gives nothing away No account is needed to play. An optional account syncs your progress across devices.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Racine at none against Bounce Blast 3D's 14. Racine also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (daily vs every 4 days). Bounce Blast 3D's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price there is nothing between them.
