# Conditioning vs Speedy Reader

The clearest difference is monetization model: Speedy Reader at free with in-app purchases against Conditioning's subscription. Speedy Reader also leads on ratings volume (4 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Conditioning sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per year and Speedy Reader sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Conditioning against 5.0 for Speedy Reader. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 4 respectively.

Conditioning ships an update fortnightly, Speedy Reader every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
