# GPAI vs MathNotes

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MathNotes at 100% against GPAI's 46%. MathNotes also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 4 weeks). GPAI's advantage is ratings volume (99 vs 8). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GPAI sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and MathNotes sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MathNotes holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GPAI has 99 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 46% of GPAI's written reviews are positive against 100% of MathNotes's.

GPAI ships an update every 4 weeks, MathNotes every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
