# Dolphin vs Toured

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Dolphin at none against Toured's 4. Dolphin also leads on ratings volume (1.3K vs 29) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). Toured's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks) and review sentiment (100% vs 83%). On price, rating, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Toured sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Dolphin asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Dolphin against 4.8 for Toured. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dolphin has 1.3K ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 83% of Dolphin's written reviews are positive against 100% of Toured's.

Dolphin ships an update every 2 weeks, Toured every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
