# Dolphin vs Gator AI

The clearest difference is update cadence: Gator AI at daily against Dolphin's every 2 weeks. Gator AI also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Dolphin's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 4). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Gator AI holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dolphin has 1.3K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Dolphin ships an update every 2 weeks, Gator AI daily. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
