# Hacktivate vs Hackfy

The clearest difference is monetization model: Hacktivate at free with in-app purchases against Hackfy's subscription. Hacktivate also leads on ratings volume (32 vs 1). Hackfy's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.5). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hacktivate sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Hackfy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hackfy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hacktivate has 32 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Hacktivate ships an update every 5 days, Hackfy every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
