# MMReader vs AI Comic Translator

The clearest difference is ads: MMReader at none against AI Comic Translator's shown. MMReader also leads on rating (4.3 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (27 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MMReader sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and AI Comic Translator sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MMReader holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MMReader has 27 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 94% of MMReader's written reviews are positive against 100% of AI Comic Translator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
