# Oki vs Chatty

The clearest difference is ads: Oki at none against Chatty's shown. Oki also leads on review sentiment (63% vs 50%) and ratings volume (392 vs 36). Chatty's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.4) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Oki sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.00 per month and Chatty sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Chatty holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Oki has 392 ratings behind it against 36, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Oki's written reviews are positive against 50% of Chatty's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Oki ships an update every 4 days, Chatty weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
