# Awakenloop vs Ember Ruin

Awakenloop and Ember Ruin both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 50% of Ember Ruin's written reviews are positive against 23% of Awakenloop's. Awakenloop's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Awakenloop sells 9 one-off in-app purchases and Ember Ruin sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Awakenloop holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 145 and 85 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of Awakenloop's written reviews are positive against 50% of Ember Ruin's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Awakenloop ships an update every 3 weeks, Ember Ruin every 5 months. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
