# DokuMan vs checkPlex

The clearest difference is update cadence: checkPlex at every 2 weeks against DokuMan's every 2 months. checkPlex also leads on iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DokuMan sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and checkPlex sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DokuMan ships an update every 2 months, checkPlex every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
