# Hangjam vs Lore Machine

Hangjam and Lore Machine both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 73% of Lore Machine's written reviews are positive against 40% of Hangjam's. Hangjam's advantage is ratings volume (884 vs 14) and chart position (#124 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hangjam sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Lore Machine sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $5.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Hangjam against 4.4 for Lore Machine. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hangjam has 884 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 40% of Hangjam's written reviews are positive against 73% of Lore Machine's.

Hangjam ships an update every 9 days, Lore Machine fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
