# WizWrite vs Files

The clearest difference is update cadence: Files at every 3 weeks against WizWrite's every 3 months. Files also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WizWrite sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Files sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WizWrite ships an update every 3 months, Files every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
