# Catholic Gallery vs TAN Digital

The clearest difference is rating: TAN Digital at 4.7 against Catholic Gallery's 3.4. TAN Digital also leads on ratings volume (119 vs 5) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). Catholic Gallery's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 43%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TAN Digital holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TAN Digital has 119 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Catholic Gallery's written reviews are positive against 43% of TAN Digital's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Catholic Gallery ships an update every 6 weeks, TAN Digital every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
