# Mathani vs Harf Learning

The clearest difference is monetization model: Harf Learning at free with in-app purchases against Mathani's subscription. Harf Learning also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Mathani's advantage is ratings volume (69 vs 3) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mathani sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Harf Learning sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Harf Learning holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mathani has 69 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 86% of Mathani's written reviews are positive against 100% of Harf Learning's.

Mathani ships an update fortnightly, Harf Learning every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
