# Wake Scroll vs Prestuds

The clearest difference is update cadence: Prestuds at every 2 days against Wake Scroll's every 5 months. Prestuds also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wake Scroll sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Prestuds sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wake Scroll ships an update every 5 months, Prestuds every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
