# CDL Pro vs CDL Prep Practice Test

The clearest difference is ratings volume: CDL Prep Practice Test at 2.3K against CDL Pro's 5. CDL Prep Practice Test also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.6). CDL Pro's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CDL Pro sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and CDL Prep Practice Test sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CDL Prep Practice Test holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CDL Prep Practice Test has 2.3K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of CDL Pro's written reviews are positive against 94% of CDL Prep Practice Test's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CDL Pro ships an update every 5 days, CDL Prep Practice Test every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
