# Remove.bg vs BgRemove

The clearest difference is rating: BgRemove at 5.0 against Remove.bg's 4.3. Remove.bg's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (26 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Remove.bg sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.19 per month and BgRemove sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BgRemove holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Remove.bg has 26 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Remove.bg ships an update every 3 weeks, BgRemove every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
