# SparkReel vs abShort

The clearest difference is ads: abShort at none against SparkReel's shown. abShort also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). SparkReel's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SparkReel sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and abShort sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SparkReel ships an update every 4 days, abShort every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
