# FastingCat vs Fast Slow

The clearest difference is monetization model: Fast Slow at free against FastingCat's free with in-app purchases. FastingCat's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FastingCat sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Fast Slow sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for FastingCat against 5.0 for Fast Slow. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 56 and 39 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

FastingCat ships an update every 6 days, Fast Slow every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
