# Bed Rot vs Chillquarium

The clearest difference is ads: Bed Rot at none against Chillquarium's shown. Bed Rot also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 74%) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Chillquarium's advantage is ratings volume (412 vs 15) and update cadence (daily vs every 3 days). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bed Rot sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Chillquarium sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Bed Rot against 4.8 for Chillquarium. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chillquarium has 412 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Bed Rot's written reviews are positive against 74% of Chillquarium's.

Bed Rot ships an update every 3 days, Chillquarium daily. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
