# Vimi vs Astral Tutor

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Astral Tutor at 100% against Vimi's 60%. Astral Tutor also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 8) and ads (none vs shown). Vimi's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (974 vs 4). On price, update cadence, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vimi sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Astral Tutor asks for nothing beyond the download.

Vimi holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vimi has 974 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Vimi's written reviews are positive against 100% of Astral Tutor's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Vimi ships an update every 8 days, Astral Tutor daily. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
