# Magnifying Glass vs BenchScope

The clearest difference is update cadence: BenchScope at every 2 days against Magnifying Glass's fortnightly. Magnifying Glass's advantage is iOS requirement (13.6 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magnifying Glass sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and BenchScope sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Magnifying Glass ships an update fortnightly, BenchScope every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
