# Comet vs Folder Fort

The clearest difference is rating: Comet at 4.8 against Folder Fort's 4.0. Comet also leads on ratings volume (7.8K vs 2) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). Folder Fort's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Comet sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $20.00 per month and Folder Fort sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Comet holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Comet has 7.8K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Comet ships an update weekly, Folder Fort monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
