# Comet vs Cloudless

The clearest difference is rating: Comet at 4.7 against Cloudless's 4.3. Comet also leads on ratings volume (7.8K vs 4). Cloudless's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (100% vs 65%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Comet sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $20.00 per month. Cloudless asks for nothing beyond the download.

Comet holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Comet has 7.8K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Comet's written reviews are positive against 100% of Cloudless's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Comet ships an update weekly, Cloudless every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
