# RepX vs Plates

The clearest difference is update cadence: RepX at daily against Plates's every 9 days. RepX also leads on ratings volume (18 vs 1). Plates's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RepX sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Plates sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for RepX against 5.0 for Plates. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RepX has 18 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

RepX ships an update daily, Plates every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
