# Timecare vs Lock Screen Notes

The clearest difference is update cadence: Lock Screen Notes at weekly against Timecare's every 3 months. Timecare's advantage is ratings volume (8 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timecare sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month and Lock Screen Notes sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Timecare against 5.0 for Lock Screen Notes. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Timecare has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
