# ImaginIt vs Mercury KIDS

The clearest difference is monetization model: ImaginIt at free with in-app purchases against Mercury KIDS's subscription. ImaginIt also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 2 months). Mercury KIDS's advantage is ratings volume (12 vs 3). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ImaginIt sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month and Mercury KIDS sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for ImaginIt against 5.0 for Mercury KIDS. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 12 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

ImaginIt ships an update every 11 days, Mercury KIDS every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
