# AstroFocus vs TapCal

The clearest difference is ads: AstroFocus at none against TapCal's shown. TapCal's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AstroFocus sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month and TapCal sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AstroFocus ships an update every 6 weeks, TapCal every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
