# Goat RPG vs MapWizard

Goat RPG and MapWizard both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of MapWizard's written reviews are positive against 55% of Goat RPG's. MapWizard also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Goat RPG's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (3.8K vs 4). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Goat RPG sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. MapWizard asks for nothing beyond the download.

Goat RPG holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Goat RPG has 3.8K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Goat RPG's written reviews are positive against 100% of MapWizard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Goat RPG ships an update every 4 days, MapWizard every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
