# Mechanical Keyboard vs Emojic

The clearest difference is rating: Emojic at 5.0 against Mechanical Keyboard's 4.5. Mechanical Keyboard's advantage is ratings volume (96 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mechanical Keyboard sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Emojic sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Emojic holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mechanical Keyboard has 96 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Mechanical Keyboard ships an update every 2 weeks, Emojic weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
