# Nottu vs Trailward

The clearest difference is ads: Nottu at none against Trailward's shown. Trailward's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nottu sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Trailward sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nottu ships an update fortnightly, Trailward every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
