# Smart Switch vs PairDrop

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Smart Switch at 62% against PairDrop's 0%. Smart Switch also leads on rating (4.3 vs 3.7) and ads (none vs shown). PairDrop's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (daily vs every 3 weeks). Both are free to download. Smart Switch sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and PairDrop sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smart Switch has 1.3K ratings behind it against 133, so its average is the more settled of the two.
