# Altimeter GPS Elevation vs Sensor Toolkit

The clearest difference is ads: Altimeter GPS Elevation at none against Sensor Toolkit's shown. Sensor Toolkit's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.5). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Altimeter GPS Elevation sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Sensor Toolkit sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Altimeter GPS Elevation ships an update every 6 months, Sensor Toolkit every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
