# Drop Duchy vs Dawnfolk

The clearest difference is rating: Drop Duchy at 4.6 against Dawnfolk's 4.0. Dawnfolk's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 61%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drop Duchy sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Dawnfolk sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Drop Duchy holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 36 and 44 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Drop Duchy's written reviews are positive against 75% of Dawnfolk's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Drop Duchy ships an update weekly, Dawnfolk every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
