# Drop Duchy vs Composition

The clearest difference is rating: Composition at 5.0 against Drop Duchy's 4.6. Drop Duchy's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (50 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drop Duchy sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Composition sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Composition holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drop Duchy has 50 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Drop Duchy ships an update weekly, Composition every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
