# SelectTranslate vs SonaCap

The clearest difference is update cadence: SonaCap at every 5 days against SelectTranslate's every 3 weeks. SelectTranslate's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 26.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SelectTranslate sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.00 per month and SonaCap sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SelectTranslate ships an update every 3 weeks, SonaCap every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
