# Dumbphone vs Mitamaton

The clearest difference is rating: Mitamaton at 5.0 against Dumbphone's 4.5. Mitamaton also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 10 days). Dumbphone's advantage is ratings volume (49 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dumbphone sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Mitamaton sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mitamaton holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dumbphone has 49 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Dumbphone ships an update every 10 days, Mitamaton every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
