# TheProPilotApp vs Flight

The clearest difference is rating: TheProPilotApp at 5.0 against Flight's 1.0. TheProPilotApp also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). Flight's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TheProPilotApp sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Flight sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TheProPilotApp holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flight has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TheProPilotApp ships an update fortnightly, Flight every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
