# RapidNote vs Idea Note

The clearest difference is monetization model: Idea Note at free with in-app purchases against RapidNote's subscription. RapidNote's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 4 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RapidNote sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Idea Note sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RapidNote ships an update every 3 days, Idea Note every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
