# Spirit Chat Box vs Necrometer

The clearest difference is price: Spirit Chat Box at Free against Necrometer's $1.99. Spirit Chat Box also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (892 vs 4). Necrometer's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 57%) and in-app purchases (none vs 4). On device support there is nothing between them.

Spirit Chat Box is free to download; Necrometer costs $1.99 up front. Spirit Chat Box sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Necrometer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Spirit Chat Box holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spirit Chat Box has 892 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Spirit Chat Box's written reviews are positive against 100% of Necrometer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Spirit Chat Box ships an update every 3 weeks, Necrometer every 9 days. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
