# NiceNews vs Rivo

The clearest difference is update cadence: NiceNews at every 2 weeks against Rivo's monthly. Rivo's advantage is iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NiceNews sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Rivo sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NiceNews ships an update every 2 weeks, Rivo monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
