# Fork Notes vs ForkSmart

The clearest difference is update cadence: Fork Notes at every 3 days against ForkSmart's every 2 weeks. ForkSmart's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fork Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ForkSmart sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fork Notes ships an update every 3 days, ForkSmart every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
