# iState vs Photrail

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Photrail at none against iState's 1. Photrail also leads on iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). iState's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iState sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Photrail asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for iState against 5.0 for Photrail. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iState has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
