# ArticleCast vs Scribly

The clearest difference is ads: Scribly at none against ArticleCast's shown. Scribly also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). ArticleCast's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (32 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ArticleCast sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Scribly sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scribly holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ArticleCast has 32 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ArticleCast ships an update weekly, Scribly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
